Patricia (Sergott) Ambrose

Mrs. Patricia D. (Sergott) Ambrose, 88, a resident of the Brook Apartments, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 3, 2024.

She was born in Utica, July 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Starchestki) Sergott. She was educated in local schools.

On April 14, 1956, Pat was joined in marriage to James C. Ambrose. They shared over thirty-four loving years of marriage until his passing, at an early age, on February 15, 1990. Patricia was a nurse’s aide and employed at the Visiting Nurses Association for over twenty-eight years.

In earlier years, Pat enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, and spending time with her family, at their camp in the Thousand Islands. She always enjoyed a good game of cards and playing Bingo with family and friends. Always community minded, Pat performed volunteer work in the area and enjoyed the many clubs to which her husband belonged.

She is survived by her son, James Ambrose of Schuyler; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tracy Ambrose of Rome, and Roxanne and Michael Conner of CT; and many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Susan (Ambrose) Mazza, who was always close to her heart.

Her family and friends honored her privately and she was laid to rest beside her husband and daughter at Calvary Cemetery.
