Mr. William A. Kinsler, 87, a longtime New Hartford resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 1, 2018, at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing in Chittenango.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 13, 1930, he was the son of the late Daniel and Sadie (Paulie) Kinsler. He was educated in New York schools and served our country in the US Army, as a Corporal, during the Korean War.

On July 17, 1954, Bill was joined in marriage to the former Shirley L. Hatkoff. Bill and Shirley lived in Albany and Florida for many years until settling in New Hartford. Shirley passed away on May 28, 2003. For several years, Bill worked in the deli department at Price Chopper.

He enjoyed fishing, travel, and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Debra Kinsler, of Oneida; and two grandsons, Areji and Maurice Kinsler. He was predeceased by his son, Douglas Kinsler, in 2002.

His family will honor him in a private gathering and he will be laid to rest beside his wife and son at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
