Mrs. Mary O. (Testa) Perreault, 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare.

Mary was born in Utica on February 6, 1928, a daughter of Fiorentino “Fred” and Giulia “Julia” Testa. She was educated in local schools and a member of the 1946 graduating class of T.R. Proctor High School. Mary worked in her early years as a saleslady in various downtown stores, and later was employed as office manager, secretary and in sales at American Hardwall, for over forty-four years, retiring in 1994.

On February 7, 1964, Mary was joined in marriage to Roland R. Perreault. They shared a marriage of over twenty-nine years. Roland passed away on November 22, 1993. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church and a member of the Mt. Carmel Society, the St. Anne Society, and the Delpha Phi Sorority, where she served as president for many years. In earlier years, she always loved making the annual pilgrimage with her relatives and friends to St. Anne DeBeupre in Canada.

She is survived by her three sisters, Erminia “Amelia” Guido, Jean Masercola, and Joanne Chase; two sisters-in-law, Marie Testa and Shirley Graziano; nieces and nephews, Regina Conboy and Michael Vadney, Julia and Anthony Elacqua, Fred Testa, Maria and Brian Harple, Mark and Erin Masercola, David and Karen Masercola, MaryJo and David Levitt, James and Meagan Chase, and Gloria Chase; and also many great and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as close friends in the Carzo, Guido, and DeFiore families.

Special thanks to her tenants the Miljkovic family, for the many years of care and support shown to Mary.

She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Julia; her brother, Albino Testa; one sister and three brothers-in-law, Gloria and Charles Peterpaul, Flam Guido, and Anthony Masercola.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica.

The family would like to offer their thanks to Dr. Koussa, PN Natalya Akhtyrsky, and the staff of the ICU at St. Luke’s Hospital for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
