Mr. Louis A. Eanniello, Sr., 95, passed away with his loved ones by his side on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

Louis was born in Utica, March 21, 1923, a son of Damiano Danny and Maria Vincenza (Barisi) Eanniello. He was educated in local schools and went to work on the railroad at an early age. During WWII, Louie served in the US Army, as a heavy truck driver in a field artillery unit, in the European theater, and received numerous battle stars.

On June 3, 1950, Louie was joined in marriage to the former Angela R. Aunge Marasco. Aunge and Louie shared fifty-eight loving years, and the couple lived and raised their family in Utica. His beloved Aunge died on March 17, 2008.

Louis worked as a truck driver his entire life. He owned and operated Northern Motors Express for many years and later drove for Oneida Motor Freight, retiring in 1985.

Louies joy in life was his family, but he also loved to spend time at the SAC Club on Gilbert St.; enjoyed the horses; and time spent with friends at OTB and the Fort Schuyler Post 1290.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Gail Eanniello, of Stockbridge; two daughters, Regina and Raymond Kane, of Utica and Roseann Eanniello, of Utica; eight grandchildren, Dan and Sarah Eanniello, Tom Eanniello and Sara Ford, Alex Eanniello, Jessica Eanniello, Nick and Alyssa Eanniello, Philip and Adriana Eanniello, Raymond Kane, and John and Jessica Kane; eight great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his two sons, who were always close to his heart, Anthony Toto Eanniello and Louis A. Eanniello Jr.; one brother, Joseph T. Eanniello; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena and Leo Foster, Polly and Cosmo Verrico, Frances Eanniello, and Jennie Eanniello; sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Charles and Albina Marasco, Joseph and Isabelle Marasco, Felix Marasco, Robert Marasco, Ernie and Yetta Marasco, Antoinette Marasco, Anna Marasco, Mary and Angelo Ginger Grasso, and Rose and Peter Palleschi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony and St. Agnes Church. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. There are no calling hours, but the family will greet visitors following mass.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Girshab, for the loving care and compassion shown to Louie and his family; and also his beloved caregivers, Sieglinde, Brandy, and Heidi, all of whom Louie loved to serenade and speak to in several different languages.

When the world has turned you down,

and not a true friend can be found,

Remember me, Im the one who loves you.
