Giovanna “Jennie” (Corriero) Gianotti, 94, passed away with her loving children by her side, on Sunday, November 11, 2018, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center of MVHS.

Jennie was born in Utica, NY, July 8, 1924, a daughter of Frank and Theresa (Ulino) Corriero and was educated in local schools. On September 1, 1942, she was joined in marriage to Joseph Gianotti. Joe and Jennie shared seventy loving years, until his passing on their anniversary, September 1, 2012.

Mrs. Gianotti was an assembler at General Electric on Broad Street for many years and a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

She is survived by her beloved children, Barbara Roscoe, of Whitesboro, Joseph Richard Gianotti, of Clinton and Gary David Gianotti, of Utica; grandchildren, Cheryl Connor, Lloyd Connor, Scot and Katie Connor, and Joseph Carmen Gianotti; great grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Cooper, Daniel, Malcolm, Zoe, Annabel, Anthony, Ethan and Gabriella; two great-great grandchildren, Ciaus and Aurora; two brothers, Pat Corriero and Michael Curriere; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Maria “Molly” Szuba and Josephine and Howard McDermott; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Lee Decker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony and St. Agnes Church. There are no calling hours but the family will greet visitors following mass.

The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital for their care and compassion during this time.
