Mrs. Debra Ann (Wadsworth) Cardoza, 56, passed away with her loved ones by her side on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital of MVHS.

She was born in Ilion, NY April 1, 1962, a daughter of Lloyd A. and Bessie (Blowers) Wadsworth. She was raised and educated in Ilion and a graduate of Ilion Senior High School in 1980. In 1988, she was married to Pedro Cardoza and they shared fifteen loving years of marriage until his untimely passing in 2003. It is comforting to know that she and Pedro are together forever.

In earlier years, she enjoyed singing Karaoke and playing pool. Debra had a great sense of humor and quick wit. She loved to bust your chops and could always make you laugh. When it came to a problem, she would figure out a way to fix everything; from mechanic, to broken heart, to carpenter, she could do it all.

Above everything, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Nicole Wadsworth, Briana Cardoza, Justino Cardoza and Shayna Cardoza; her eight grandchildren, Billy, Alanna, Xander, Memphis, Mariella, Gian, Maelynn and Meadow; her mother, Bessie Wadsworth-Blowers, her father, Lloyd Wadsworth and his companion, Bonnie Holmes; siblings and their partners, Suzanne Wadsworth, Gary and Sandra Wadsworth, Brenda Wadsworth, and Michael and Melinda Wadsworth; her beloved parrot, “Macy”; and her backyard birds; and also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Debra’s life on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk Street, Utica.
