Mrs. Catherine (Pedalino-Saporito) Dabrowski, 98, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at The Chestnut House of the Sitrin Health Care Facility.

Catherine was born in Utica on April 29, 1920, a daughter of the late Mariano and Carmella (Centurio) Pedalino. She was educated in local schools and attended Utica Free Academy. Catherine was married to Philip Saporito, with whom she had her two beloved daughters. Philip passed away at an early age and she was joined in marriage to Edward R. Dabrowski on February 1, 1958. They shared over fifty-nine loving years together until his passing on April 9, 2015. Catherine worked for many years as an assembler in the radio department of General Electric.

A loving grandmother, Catherine is survived by her grandchildren, Benjie and Dorothy Tringo, Gina and Frank Saporito, Denise and Joe Lomonico, Alan Fraccola, Dr. Philip and Kelley Fraccola, Alicia Fraccola, and Michael Liberatore; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two daughters and son-in-law, Carmelita and Chet Tringo, and Phyllis Fraccola; sisters, Rosalie and Art Nicotera, and Madelyn and Joe Zaffarano; a brother, Joseph and Cora Pedalino; and a half-brother, Daniel and Alice Ancona.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, where her mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., at Mohawk St., Utica.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Chestnut House, at Sitrin HCF, especially Shannon, Rachael, Shelly, Kate, Connie, and Mia, for the loving care shown to Catherine during her stay there.
