Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” (Skermont) Lupini, 79, of Winter Haven, FL and Woodgate, NY, went to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Winter Haven.
Betty was born in Utica, August 28, 1946, a daughter of the late John and Amanda (Dellers) Skermont. She attended local schools, graduated from Utica Free Academy, and later attended several college courses.
On January 7, 1966, Betty was joined in marriage to Max Lupini and together they raised their family, while they also owned and operated Lupini Construction Inc. for many years.
A woman of deep faith, Betty along with her husband Max, were very involved in various ministries at the Assembly of God Church, in Marcy, now known as the Mohawk Valley Church and were also a part of the congregation of Garden Grove Assembly, in Winter Haven, FL. Together they not only talked the talk, but always walked the walk.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband, Max; children, Lisa Lupini Brooks and Bill Brooks, Lori Lupini and Lori Lindsay-Lupini, Scott and Tricia Lupini, and Christopher Lupini and Don Kilts; beloved grandchildren, Jacob and Megan Brooks, Matthew and Tori Brooks, Noah and Bry Lupini, Paige and Grant Shagoury, Nick Korrigan, Nate Korrigan, and Levi Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Logan Lupini, Leah Lupini, Eloise Shagoury, and Maverick Brooks; her siblings, Paul Skermont, Albert Skermont and Christine Duguay, Timothy and Deb Skermont, and Tina and Dave Simmons; and also an uncle and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Keith Skermont and Marty Skermont; and a sister, Sharon Buczek.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at Garden Grove Church, in Lake Wales, FL, Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Betty at the Mohawk Valley Church, in Marcy, on May 9, with service information posted at a later date. She will be laid to rest privately at the Woodgate Cemetery, in Woodgate, NY.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors at the Lakeland Regional Hospital ICU and palliative care.
