Morgan Richard Lee

Morgan Richard Lee, 40, of Vernon Center, passed away at the Wynn Hospital, with his loving family at his side, on Wednesday, January 20, 2026.

Morgan was born in New Hartford, January 23, 1985, the son of Carl and Shirley (King) Lee. He received his education from VVS and was a member of the Class of 2005 he was also a member of the ARC of Oneida County and participated in the work program.

A man of great faith, he was a faithful member of the Knoxboro Community Church and enjoyed their many community events. He love playing video games, he had a wide collection of video games and was trying to collect every game for his Atari 2600. He had special love for his dog “Bluto” who was his best friend and soulmate.

He is survived by his family who lovingly cared for him, mom, Shirley Lee, his sister Melissa Lee and brother, Carl Lee; aunts and uncles, Joyce and Randy Charboneau, Sheila Jones, and Jeff King; nieces and nephews, Michael Lee, Sabrina Lee, Phoenix Lee, Lawrence Styles, Tyler Styles, Jaden Styles and Alexis Styles; great nieces and nephews, Sariyah Linen, Jayce Winston, Nylah Lee, and Jerome Lee; cousins, Lisa Evans, Ellen Klotz, Becky Klotz, and Paula Beavers.

He was predeceased by his dad, Carl Lee, nephew, Jordan Lee, his favorite aunt, Barbara Klotz and aunt and uncle, Barbara and Wayne Lee.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 3-4 p.m. at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger Street, Utica, NY. There will be a celebration of his life at the conclusion of calling hours with Pastor Dave Lenhart officiating. Private interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton.

The family would like to thank the community in Vernon Center who have always been like family to Morgan and especially Judson Chandler for his compassion and time spent with Morgan throughout the years.
